Funds for Staff Professional Development
The Staff Council Rebecca Szwarc Professional Development Reimbursement is available to UH full-time staff members to support attendance at seminars, workshops, training sessions, and continuing education courses, as well as professional organization memberships, etc., that are related to their jobs.
The UH Staff Council established this reimbursement program for staff members as part of ongoing efforts to promote staff education and self-development. Funds for the reimbursement program are raised through contributions to the Staff Council Rebecca Szwarc Professional Development Reimbursement fund.
Criteria
Applicant must be a UH full-time staff with at least one year of employment.
- Applicant can submit only one application per month.
- Only one reimbursement per person per calendar year from the winning date.
- Seminar date must be within two months from date of application.
- Application will remain active until seminar date expires.
- Seminar/workshop must be approved by the applicant’s immediate supervisor.
One Reimbursement Awarded Each Month
One reimbursement will be awarded per month to an eligible full-time UH staff. The maximum reimbursement per workshop/seminar, etc., is limited to $100.
The recipient is chosen at the monthly Staff Council Executive Board meeting by random draw. The reimbursement is non-transferable.
