Faculty hiring is always a difficult, uncertain process, and expanding the diversity of faculty is a daunting task. Two myths cling to this challenge, which must be dispelled before we can move forward.

Picture a Scientist: Viewing Opportunity April 16-18

UH is sponsoring a screening of a powerful documentary entitled ‘Picture a Scientist’. It has been labeled “Quietly devastating” by the Boston Globe and a “Fascinating and frightening examination of bias” by WGBH. A virtual discussion will occur on Friday, April 23, from 12:00-1:30 pm.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Grant Proposals

The NSM faculty have spearheaded a range of grant proposals aimed at increasing the diversity and success of the students and faculty. Please feel free to reach out to the NSM DEI committee for advice and/or partnering in your own DEI-related grant proposals.
