New Feature in Canvas
The Canvas gradebook can now be imported directly to your myUH grade roster in your Faculty Center. This eliminates the need to download your grades, add the letter grades in Excel, and save a separate file with just the PeopleSoft IDs and letter grades before uploading to PeopleSoft.
This is a big timesaver if you have multiple sections of lab courses. The feature also allows you to import the dates of the student’s last academic activity, which is now required.
If you do not already use the Canvas gradebook, the features can save you time as well as provide students with their grades. The new features allow you to create weighted grades (for example, 10% of the total course grade for homework, 50% for exams, etc.) and allow you to set the scale for the breaks between letter grades for the final grade assignments.
