Dart Student Accessibility Center Offers Resources for Faculty
Meeting the needs of our students, especially for those receiving accommodation through the Justin Dart, Jr. Student Accessibility Center, is a top priority for all faculty.
To help faculty meet the student needs, the Center recently updated its website to include a resources to support faculty page. The resources/tools include:
- New Faculty Portal, located in AccessUH
- Faculty manual entitled “Managing your Students’ Accommodations Using the Accessible Information Management (AIM) System”
- Guidelines on meeting accessibility requirements on Canvas and more
If you are looking for guidance on accessibility concerns, the new website is your one-stop shop. If you cannot find what you need on the website, feel free to contact Kyle Mutz, Director of the Dart Center, (kjmutz@Central.UH.EDU) for assistance.
Also, if you have any concerns/suggestions regarding accessibility (i.e., student needs, building concerns, etc.), please feel free to email NSM Associate Dean Donna Stokes (dstokes@uh.edu), who is currently serving on the UH Accessibilities Committee.
