NSF International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) Opportunity

The National Science Foundation is currently accepting proposals for the International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) program. This funding opportunity supports U.S.-based STEM faculty who wish to lead teams of undergraduate or graduate students in collaborative research at international partner institutions.

IRES provides a meaningful avenue to strengthen global research partnerships, expand international collaboration, and offer students immersive, high-impact research experiences abroad. The program is designed to integrate international engagement with faculty research agendas while enhancing student training and professional development.

Faculty interested in learning more about eligibility, proposal guidelines, and funding details can visit the NSF program page.

Faculty exploring potential proposals are encouraged to connect with appropriate college or university research offices for guidance and support.
