Scholar Enrichment Program Receives THECB 2022 Star Award
The Scholar Enrichment Program (SEP) will receive one of the 2022 Star Awards from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). SEP is being recognized for its exceptional contributions toward meeting one or more of the goals of the THECB’s “Building a Talent Strong Texas” strategic plan. SEP will receive the award during the 2022 Higher Education Leadership Conference, December 7-8 in Austin, Texas.
The THECB’s strategic plan focuses on three measurable, data-driven goals: Attainment of Postsecondary Credentials, Postsecondary Credentials of Value, and Research, Development, and Innovation. The overarching goal of the plan is to “better align the educational opportunities Texas offers with the skills Texans need” to join the workforce and boost the Texas economy.
This is the second time this year the SEP has been recognized for its contributions to student success in higher education. Congratulations to the SEP team, Eduardo Cerna, Jessica Ramirez, Donna Pattison, and Donna Stokes, for all they do for University of Houston students.
